Soulful and Modern are two words that describe the Artistic Photography of Karen Ollis.  Whether she is creating Commercial Photography for business communications or Fine Art Photography for books, exhibitions, and prints there is a signature quality to her pieces.  

 

Although semi retired from her Commercial Photography, Karen will accept projects that align with her ability to interpret editorial or marketing briefs creating richly textured, captivating visuals. Karen collaborates with people bringing her unique creative energy to each project. Specializing in organic lifestyle and portraiture, her clientele are innovators, entrepreneurs, educators, environmentalists and artistic personalities. Now able to devote more attention to her Fine Art Photography, Karen explores Nature and the relationship she has with the elements. Currently working with her series, FLOW, Karen is photographing freshwater tributaries found in woodland areas. Karen explains, "much of my life I have had two constant loves, one is photography and the other is Nature".  Karen elaborating further, "I have always tried to find time to be outside walking and exploring park systems as the beauty I see there inspires so much creativity.  I would often times bring a camera with me to record ideas and designs I found in Nature.  When I happened on a stream one day something shifted and I found myself entering a portal of water with the textures, shapes, and colors of the movements.  So began the dance with the water spirits and a celebration of freshwater.
